Zendesk Toolkit
The Zendesk toolkit connects Arcade to your Zendesk account, enabling agents and applications to manage support tickets, retrieve conversation history, search the Help Center knowledge base, and inspect authenticated user context.
Capabilities
- Ticket management — list tickets with offset-based pagination, add public or internal comments, and mark tickets as solved (optionally with a closing comment); every ticket response includes a direct
html_urllink. - Conversation retrieval — fetch all comments on a ticket in order, including the original description, author IDs, timestamps, visibility (public/internal), and file attachment metadata.
- Knowledge base search — search published Help Center articles by query text and/or label names, with combinable filters and offset-based pagination; all filters can be passed in a single call.
- Identity & account context — retrieve the authenticated user's profile, role, organization details, and Zendesk account metadata via a single lookup tool.
OAuth
This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via the Zendesk auth provider. See the Arcade Zendesk provider docs for setup instructions, required scopes, and configuration details.
Secrets
ZENDESK_SUBDOMAIN— Your Zendesk account subdomain (the{subdomain}portion ofhttps://{subdomain}.zendesk.com). This is not a generated credential; it is simply the unique identifier chosen when your Zendesk account was created. You can find it by logging into Zendesk and inspecting the URL in your browser's address bar — the first segment before.zendesk.comis your subdomain. No special permissions or account tier are required to retrieve it.
For instructions on storing secrets in Arcade, see the Arcade secrets guide. You can also manage secrets directly at api.arcade.dev/dashboard/auth/secrets.
